A year ago I posted about an application to help you learn the Arabic alphabet called Write It! Arabic. It has worked great, I spent probably 15-30 minutes a week playing with it over the course of the last year and I can say I have learned all of the letters. I still do not know 100% what I am reading when I see signs in this part of the world, but I am able to sort of sound things out and butcher names of places but also get a good laugh out of my friends in doing so. The app has in my opinion more than served its purpose and has my recommendation for anyone learning. I believe it is possible to get much better faster, but I didn’t make it a full time effort.
